Age Limit: A candidates for this examination must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st August 2020 i.e. the candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1984. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Academic Qualification: Appliers should have a degree of any universities incorporate by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the university grants commission Act, 1956.

UPSC Civil Services Exam Pattern: Civil Services Exam consists of 2 stages. The examination shall be conducted according to the following plan:-

1.Preliminary Examination – (objective Type)
2.Main Examination (Written and Interview)

Preliminary Examination: The examination shall comprise two compulsory papers of 200 marks each. Both the question papers will be of the objective type (Multiple choice questions). However, questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level will be tested through passages from English Language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper.
